WRC grants Rachel Byrne statutory redundancy payment

The WRC found Rachel Byrne entitled to a statutory redundancy payment from Lolly And Cooks Limited, subject to her having been in insurable employment during the relevant period. The decision was dated 24 July 2021; the payment was based on a gross weekly wage of €202. The company accepted that it had not paid Byrne's redundancy entitlement and said this was an oversight. Her other three complaints, concerning notice and holiday entitlements, were received outside the six-month time limit. The WRC found it had no jurisdiction to hear them; the merits were not decided.
