WRC finds child minder was not unfairly dismissed

The Workplace Relations Commission found Edyta Zborowska was not unfairly dismissed by Magic Moments Creche And Montessori. Adjudication Officer Brian Dolan dated the decision 8 November 2021. Zborowska said the creche dismissed her during a phone call in early July 2020. The creche said it understood that she wanted to leave temporarily while receiving pandemic unemployment payment. The adjudication officer found that the two sides had misunderstood their agreement. The creche later told Zborowska that her job remained open and invited her to return. The WRC found the complaint was not well founded.
