The WRC awarded a shop assistant €770 for two weeks’ minimum notice after her position became redundant. In a decision dated 23 June 2022, Adjudication Officer Niamh O’Carroll also found her entitled to a redundancy payment based on her service from 1 December 2012 to 3 July 2020 and weekly pay of €385. The employer accepted that the shop had closed for lack of business and that no redundancy payment had been made. The complaints about employment information and working time were withdrawn.
