The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Denise Caulfield €5,525 after finding her dismissal by ARYZTA Food Solutions Ireland procedurally unfair. The decision was dated 11 March 2022.
Caulfield, a tele-sales representative, was dismissed in July 2020 after the company alleged that she had recorded commission-linked orders as sales and later cancelled them. She denied deliberate wrongdoing.
The WRC found that she had not received relevant call logs and emails in time to respond, that her 14-year employment record was not properly considered, and that three employees who admitted involvement had received final written warnings. It found the dismissal unfair and awarded compensation.
