The WRC found Derek Keenan's penalisation complaint against An Post not well founded. The decision was dated 11 November 2021.
Keenan said An Post threatened not to pay him after he refused deliveries on 16 March 2020 because hand sanitiser was unavailable, and did not pay three hours of “double up” overtime. The WRC found he was paid his normal rate for the day and no disciplinary action was taken. It also found the extra payment applied to deliveries missed because of absence, so its non-payment in these circumstances was not penalisation.
