The Workplace Relations Commission directed Momentum Partners to pay Tony Henry €1,772.25 after finding the company had unlawfully withheld wages. The decision was dated 15 September 2021. Henry said he worked 17 days without receiving his wages. Momentum Partners did not attend the hearing and said he had not returned a company phone worth €200. The WRC calculated the wages due using his contract’s guaranteed salary. It found that about €130 in mobile expenses were not wages and could not be awarded under this claim.
