The Workplace Relations Commission found Olufunmilayo Olowookere was not discriminated against on racial grounds by Wayfair Stores Limited. The WRC dated its decision 12 July 2022.
Olowookere alleged discrimination involving probation criteria, education support, a secondment application and a bonus. Wayfair denied discrimination and said decisions followed its employment criteria and procedures. The WRC found that she had not established facts supporting an inference of discrimination. It said the secondment process was poorly handled, but that this did not establish race discrimination.
