The Workplace Relations Commission found Pauline Butler’s minimum wage complaint well founded and ordered Mcloughlin & Sons Hardware Limited C/o Mcloughlins Trading Company to give her a statement. The decision was dated 25 July 2022. Butler said she had received no reply to her request for a statement under the National Minimum Wage Act. The employer denied breaching the Act. The WRC found that the statement had not been provided. It rejected her age and gender discrimination complaints, finding she had not supplied enough evidence to establish a prima facie case for either. Six other complaints were withdrawn during the hearing.
