The Workplace Relations Commission found Dana Ziuzina’s complaint about her final salary and annual-leave payment was not well founded. The decision was dated 12 July 2021. Ziuzina, a postdoctoral researcher at Tu Dublin, disputed the calculation used after she resigned. She said the method in a payroll manual would have left €106 in salary and €376 in holiday pay owing. Tu Dublin said its calculation followed a Department of Education and Skills circular and that she had been paid for eight days of annual leave, although only 5.5 days were due. The adjudicator found Ziuzina had not established an unlawful deduction and that Tu Dublin had followed the relevant circular.
