The Workplace Relations Commission found Kathleen Stone’s constructive-dismissal complaint against Flutter Entertainment PLC not well founded. Adjudication Officer Catherine Byrne’s decision was dated 18 May 2022.

Stone said she had to resign because of how managers treated her. She described earlier difficulties at work and said she left after a dispute with colleagues over whether they had hidden cash from her. Flutter said she left after a disagreement with colleagues and that managers offered mediation and asked her to reconsider her resignation.

The adjudicator found the earlier problems and missed breaks did not influence Stone’s decision to resign. She found Stone had not shown a breach of contract or unreasonable conduct by the employer that made it untenable for her to remain in the job. The complaint failed because Stone had not met the legal test for constructive dismissal.
