The Workplace Relations Commission found two complaints by Robert Keogh against Swissport Ireland Limited not well founded, ruling that his contract allowed the company to lay him off without pay and that no wages properly due to him had been unlawfully deducted. Keogh challenged being laid off without written notice and said the selection process lacked meaningful consultation and used a flawed skills matrix. Swissport said flight restrictions had sharply reduced business and staff were selected for their skills and flexibility. The WRC decision was dated 30 June 2022.
