WRC finds it had no jurisdiction over Des Campbell’s safety complaint

The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to decide Des Campbell’s safety complaint against Northway Personnel, in a decision dated 22 October 2021. Campbell alleged he was treated adversely after raising workplace safety concerns. The WRC found Cairn Homes was the correct respondent, citing his work at its site for more than two years and Cairn Homes staff’s day-to-day supervision and handling of safety matters. The merits were not decided.
