The WRC found that a paramedic’s complaint under the Payment of Wages Act was not well founded. The decision was dated 21 June 2021. He said he was about €3,000 worse off after accepting a promotion before a later pay circular increased pay for some grades. The ambulance service provider said he was paid under his contract and the applicable pay scales. The WRC found he had not shown that wages properly payable to him went unpaid.
