The WRC found that Rosemary Lloyd was not discriminated against in a promotion competition for a senior Irish Prison Service role. The decision was dated 29 November 2021 and concerned her challenge to being placed third behind two men.
Lloyd alleged the two higher-ranked candidates lacked the required two years of proven staff-supervision experience. The Irish Prison Service said both had the necessary experience.
The adjudication officer found Lloyd had provided no direct evidence to support that allegation and had not established a prima facie case of discrimination.
