A Workplace Relations Commission adjudication officer found Michael O Mahony’s complaint about annual leave and public holiday pay not well founded, dated 29 July 2022. The WRC said it could consider only the 12 months before the complaint; Mr O Mahony confirmed he had received his entitlements during that period. The merits were not decided because the claim was outside the time limit. The University Of Limerick argued the claim was out of time and that Mr O Mahony had received the relevant leave. He also asked the WRC to decide a pension contribution issue, but the officer said the legislation did not cover it and the issue was not specifically included in the complaint form. The WRC had no jurisdiction to decide it.
