The Workplace Relations Commission found Deirdre Morgan’s complaint against the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission frivolous, misconceived and incorrectly based in law. The decision was dated 7 March 2022.

Morgan alleged discrimination and victimisation on gender and disability grounds. The WRC considered whether her complaint against the commission was properly before it, as the treatment she described was attributed to a Minister and an Education and Training Board. The adjudication officer found that this alleged treatment had no connection to the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission and that the complaint did not meet the requirements of section 77(1) of the Employment Equality Acts.

The decision did not determine whether the alleged discrimination or victimisation occurred. It concluded that the complaint against the commission was frivolous, misconceived and incorrectly based in law.
