The WRC found Maria Zureima Nova Aunon entitled to a statutory redundancy payment from Canon (Irl) Business Equipment Ltd, based on a gross weekly wage of €369.52. Adjudication Officer Penelope McGrath dated the decision 2 September 2021. The company agreed to correct its calculation to include an annual bonus and two additional months of service, and to pay the difference between the amounts paid and due. Ms Nova Aunon’s claim for an enhanced package could not be granted under the statutory redundancy jurisdiction. She withdrew her claim under unfair dismissals legislation.
