The Workplace Relations Commission directed an employer to pay a worker €552 in outstanding holiday pay and €440 in wages. The decision was dated 24 June 2022. The worker said his final pay did not cover his last week and that holiday pay remained due. The employer agreed that €552 in accrued leave was owed but said its 18 March 2020 payment covered the final week. The WRC found that payment covered the week ending 14 March and that the worker had worked his normal hours through 21 March. The notice-pay claim failed because he had resigned.
