WRC recommends worker accept paid suspension while investigation proceeds

The WRC recommended that a security guard accept his paid suspension while an investigation was pending. The recommendation was dated 20 May 2021. A duplicate complaint was withdrawn. The employer said the suspension followed a complaint about the worker’s interactions with staff at a cleaning company and was its normal procedure for serious allegations. The worker considered the suspension disproportionate and unfair and sought to have it overturned.
