WRC dismisses Martin Melvin’s payment complaints against Department of Justice

The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed two Payment of Wages complaints brought by Martin Melvin against the Department of Justice, finding them frivolous and vexatious. The decision was dated 27 June 2022. Melvin said he had been asked to call in a bomb scare and expected payment for doing so. He said he had not been paid and sought compensation from the Department. The adjudication officer said the complaints had no reasonable chance of succeeding and that defending them would place hardship on the respondent.
