The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to hear Lebam Macaw’s Equal Status complaint against Enable Ireland because it was brought outside the statutory time limit. The decision was dated 26 November 2021; the merits were not decided. Macaw alleged discrimination on grounds of gender, civil status, age and race during her employment, which ended by agreement in February 2007. She filed her complaint in January 2020. The adjudication officer found she had missed the deadlines to notify Enable Ireland and bring the complaint to the WRC.
