WRC finds Nigel Murphy’s fixed-term work complaint was outside time limit

The Workplace Relations Commission found Nigel Murphy’s complaint against Metropolitan Film Productions Limited was brought outside the time limit and had no jurisdiction to make further enquiries. The merits were not decided. The decision was dated 8 April 2022. Murphy said he was entitled to a contract of indefinite duration and had been penalised by not receiving further work. The company argued that he was not its employee and that the complaint was late.
