Kieran Philbin was awarded €2,320 after the Workplace Relations Commission found Reva Racing Ltd had failed to inform and consult him before a business transfer in July 2019. The decision was dated 2 July 2021. Reva Racing argued the transaction was a share sale, but the adjudicator found the bookmaker business continued at the same premises with its assets, staff and customers, and that the transferee took over its operation. Philbin said he learned of the transfer shortly before it happened. Reva Racing did not attend the hearing.
