The Workplace Relations Commission found Cristi Petrica Serban’s complaint against Temporary Outsourced Trades and Labour Limited was not well founded. The decision was dated 10 November 2021. Serban, a steel fixer on a temporary assignment, said the agency offered him €200 for two weeks without work and underpaid him for four hours. The agency said the client had ended the assignment, it could not find further work and wages were not due when he was off assignment. The adjudicator found Serban had received all the wages he was entitled to, referring to the employment terms that said the agency did not have to provide assignments or pay for time outside them.
