The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed two Equal Status complaints by Roberto Alamazani against the Chief State Solicitor’s Office, finding it had no jurisdiction to hear them. The decision was dated 26 August 2021. Alamazani alleged race discrimination over communications connected with his legal proceedings. The WRC found the office’s work was for government departments, offices and certain state agencies, rather than a service available to the public under the Equal Status Act. The merits were not decided.
