The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed two Equal Status complaints by Roberto Alamazani against the WRC, finding it had no jurisdiction to investigate them. The decision was dated 26 August 2021.
Alamazani alleged race discrimination in the hearing and decision-making in an earlier complaint. The WRC found that statutory adjudication was not a service available to the public under the Equal Status Act and referred to judicial immunity. The merits were not decided.
