The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed two complaints by Roberto Alamazani against adjudication officer Michael McEntee, finding it had no jurisdiction to investigate them. In a decision dated 27 September 2021, the WRC said McEntee was performing adjudicative functions covered by judicial immunity, and that those functions were not a public service under the Equal Status Act. Alamazani had alleged racial discrimination in McEntee’s handling of two earlier complaints. The merits of those allegations were not decided.
