The Workplace Relations Commission found a general operative was entitled to a redundancy lump sum, subject to her having been in insurable employment, and awarded her €2,048 in minimum notice redress. The decision, dated 5 June 2018, counted the first 52 weeks of her occupational injury absence as reckonable service. The food producer had argued that she was no longer an employee when other staff were made redundant. The WRC found her employment ended on 7 March 2017, when it issued her P45, and calculated nine years of computable service for notice at weekly gross pay of €512.
