The WRC rejected a child care worker’s constructive dismissal complaint against a community resource centre. The decision was dated 16 May 2018. She said a proposed move from the pre-school section to the baby room, and the way management handled the changes, led her to believe she had been singled out and to resign. The centre said it was restructuring and expected care workers to move between areas as needed. The adjudicator found that the worker had not formally used the centre’s grievance procedure before resigning. The complaint failed.
