The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed Roberto Alamazani’s Equal Status complaint against Paul Bissett Bank of Ireland, The Arena Tallaght. The decision was dated 17 September 2021. Alamazani alleged that a witness gave false and misleading information about a deposit account at an earlier WRC hearing and treated him differently because he was black. The officer found that oral evidence was not a service under the Equal Status Act and that a witness was immune from suit. The complaint was dismissed as misconceived; the merits were not decided.
