The WRC found a job applicant’s age discrimination complaint against a recruitment agency was brought outside the time limit and was not well founded; the merits were not decided. The decision was dated 17 April 2018. The applicant alleged that the agency failed to forward her application to a client because of her age. The agency said it forwarded the application and the client chose not to shortlist her. The adjudicator found that the applicant suspected discrimination in March, when told she had not been shortlisted, but filed her complaint on 8 October 2017. The WRC found it had no jurisdiction to hear the case.
