The WRC rejected a sales director’s complaint that he was not paid for his notice period after resigning. The decision was dated 18 December 2017. The manufacturing company said he was on lay-off during the notice period and was not entitled to pay. The adjudication officer found that his contract allowed lay-off without pay and that he had consented in writing to non-payment during lay-off. The complaint was found not well founded.
