The Workplace Relations Commission ordered an English language school to pay a co-ordinator €720 gross in unpaid wages after finding his complaint well founded. The decision was dated 15 May 2018. The co-ordinator said 32 hours worked at the end of his employment and a 28-hour shortfall from earlier months had not been paid. The school did not attend the hearing. Based on the worker’s uncontested evidence, the WRC found €384 gross was due for the 32 hours and €336 gross for the shortfall. The co-ordinator confirmed that his accrued annual leave had already been paid. The €720 award was subject to lawful deductions and payable within 42 days.
