A WRC adjudication officer concluded a kitchen porter’s investigation after he did not attend the hearing. The decision was dated 27 March 2018. The kitchen porter had brought eight complaints against a restaurant under employment laws covering written terms, minimum notice, working time, minimum pay and wages. Neither side attended, although both had been notified. The officer said the complainant had failed to attend to establish his complaints, concluded the investigation and found against him; the merits were not decided.
