The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed a Flight Attendant’s complaint that an airline treated her less favourably over annual flight-hour limits. The decision was dated 25 April 2018. The complainant said part-time crew had a prorated 900-hour limit for the airline’s May-to-April year but not for the calendar year, which she said led her to work more hours and affected her Christmas roster. The officer found that different reference periods did not establish a disadvantage, and that the alleged Christmas roster effect was indirect and unpersuasive. The complaint was not well founded.
