The Workplace Relations Commission found that a helper’s €24 wages complaint and harassment complaint were not well founded in a decision dated 14 December 2017. The adjudicator accepted timesheets and the transport manager’s evidence that the helper had left work three hours early without consent, so the disputed pay was not properly payable. The adjudicator recommended that the helper exhaust the refuse collection company’s internal grievance procedures before referring the industrial relations dispute again. The harassment complaint failed because the helper did not establish a link between the alleged treatment and any discriminatory ground.
