The Workplace Relations Commission directed a wind energy developer to pay a crane operator €6,785 for unpaid wages, €2,950 for untaken annual leave and €1,475 in notice pay. The decision was dated 26 October 2017. The operator said he worked for the developer from June to November 2016 at €295 a day and was owed wages for 23 days, holiday pay and one week’s notice. The developer did not attend the hearing, but the adjudication officer proceeded after confirming it had notice. The officer accepted the operator’s uncontested documents and found all three complaints well founded.
