The WRC ordered a warehouse company to pay a worker €2,927.68 in compensation for unpaid wages. The decision was dated 4 December 2017. The customer services representative said he was owed wages for work between January and February 2016, including overtime. The company did not attend the hearing, and the adjudicator accepted the worker’s uncontested evidence. The adjudicator also found reasonable cause for the delay in bringing the complaint. The worker said he had first expected Insolvency Ireland to deal with his claim and learned in September 2016 that he needed to refer it to the WRC. The company was required to pay within 42 days.
