The WRC found it had no jurisdiction over a CE Supervisor’s three complaints against a Government Department, ruling that the department was not the complainant’s employer. The decision was dated 7 December 2017; the merits were not decided. The complainant was employed under a contract with an Unemployed Centre. The department funded the scheme but was not party to the employment contract. The WRC cited a High Court decision which said responsibility for administering employment matters under the scheme rested with the Partnership.
