The Workplace Relations Commission found that a sales assistant at a Polish retail shop was entitled to a statutory redundancy lump sum, subject to her having been in insurable employment. The decision based the calculation on a gross weekly wage of €335.22. It also awarded €490.80 for a further 7.45 days of annual leave. The shop had closed and the employer confirmed her redundancy after a layoff. The assistant said she had received 12 days of annual leave and was owed another 7.45 days.
