The WRC declined jurisdiction over an employee’s redundancy, unfair dismissal and wages complaints in a decision dated 31 January 2018, finding they had already been adjudicated. The merits were not decided. The employer argued that the complaints had been decided in an earlier case. That case followed a hearing on 22 November 2016, and its decision found the Transfer of Undertakings Regulations did not apply where only commercial premises had been bought.
