The WRC could not hear a restaurant worker’s four complaints after the company that employed the worker was dissolved. The complaints concerned redundancy pay, unpaid wages, written employment terms and working-time entitlements. Adjudication Officer Pat Brady dated the decision 14 September 2017. He found the dissolved company had no legal status for the proceedings, and that the former director named as respondent was not properly a respondent and had no personal liability for the company’s debts. The complaints were not upheld because the WRC had no jurisdiction; the merits were not decided. The former directors had agreed to support applications to the Social Insurance Fund.
