The WRC found a worker entitled to a statutory redundancy lump sum, minimum notice and the balance of her annual leave after her employer went into liquidation. The decision was dated 25 August 2017. The worker was a sales assistant earning €492.69 a week. The WRC extended the time limit for her minimum notice complaint because the delay arose from litigation involving the former directors. It found her entitled to a redundancy lump sum based on her service and weekly pay, four weeks’ minimum notice and the balance of her annual leave. The employer did not attend the hearing.
