The WRC dismissed Roberto Alamazani’s Equal Status complaint against David Campbell over an alleged refusal to rent him a property because he received Rent Allowance. The decision was dated 12 July 2018. The complaint alleged discrimination on the housing assistance ground, but the allegation was not decided on its merits.
The complaint was referred outside the stated six-month period and Alamazani sought an extension. Neither party attended the hearing. The adjudicator found Alamazani’s non-attendance unreasonable and dismissed the complaint and extension application for lack of evidence; the merits were not decided.
