The WRC found a worker’s statutory redundancy complaint well founded and required a meat plant to pay her statutory redundancy within 42 days. The decision was dated 9 November 2017. The worker, an administrator, said the premises had closed after a property dispute that went to the High Court and the company had not responded to her redundancy paperwork. The company did not attend the hearing. The adjudication officer based the decision on the worker’s uncontested evidence. The payment was for statutory redundancy entitlements.
