The WRC granted a chef a statutory redundancy lump sum based on gross weekly pay of €560, subject to the employment being insurable. WRC Adjudication Officer Louise Boyle dated the decision 24 July 2017. The respondent accepted the entitlement but said financial difficulties left it unable to pay. The chef’s two working-time complaints, and claims about written terms, wages and minimum notice, were withdrawn.
