The Workplace Relations Commission ordered a convenience store to pay a general assistant €859.73 for working-time breaches and €600 in compensation. It also ordered €419.81 for unlawful wage deductions. The decision was dated 25 October 2017. The WRC found the store had failed to pay a Sunday premium, public-holiday pay and outstanding annual leave. It also found unlawful deductions, including a rate cut without written consent and unpaid wages. Some other alleged wage shortfalls failed. The road-transport working-time and minimum-wage complaints were withdrawn.
