The Workplace Relations Commission rejected a health care worker’s complaint against a health care service provider, finding that agency-worker protections did not cover the grievance procedure she sought. The decision was dated 21 July 2017. The worker said she was removed from an assignment after colleagues made unproven allegations and was denied the grievance procedures available to directly employed staff. The provider argued that grievance procedures were outside the Act’s list of basic working conditions. The adjudication officer accepted that the list was closed and did not uphold the complaint.
