The Workplace Relations Commission found a farm hand’s claims over unpaid wages, Sunday premiums and excessive weekly hours well founded, and directed the farm owner to pay €3,500, €450 and €1,000 in compensation respectively. The decision was dated 14 September 2017. The adjudicator preferred the farm hand’s evidence about his hours and found the employer’s records unreliable. The holiday-pay complaint was withdrawn at the start of the hearing.
