The Workplace Relations Commission dismissed a worker’s religious discrimination and discriminatory dismissal complaint for want of prosecution after he did not attend the hearing. The decision was dated 21 August 2017; the merits were not decided. The respondent said the worker’s employment on a Community Employment Scheme ended after he failed probation. The WRC found he had proper notice of the hearing and the respondent’s submission, but did not attend to advance his case.
